Vacuum packing

by Jennifer Bailey
(Somerset)

I read the tip about vacuum packing squares to get more in an envelope and wondered how I could do it.

I explained to my local butcher what it was all about and, expecting a 'no' answer, asked if he could do it for me.

The lovely man answered 'yes' without hesitation.

So as soon as I've done a good number of squares, they'll be on their way.

It's always worth asking, even the most unlikely people.
