How I vacuum pack my squares.
by: Mary V

I live in the country & my husband is a hunter so we cut & package our own meat. I bought a Food Saver Vacuum Sealer that is electric & sucks the air from the bag & vacuum seals it. No air gets in or water or anything else. I also used the 12"x16" Tyvek White envelopes with a 2" expansion. I was able to fit 5 packs of 8 squares in the envelope & sent it US Mail for $20.33 from DeRuyter NY. I still haven't heard if it got there OK but I'm assuming it did. I have two more packages of 40 to send & are ready to go.

another way to "vacuum" seal
by: L. Minor

I put three squares in a zip-lock plastic bag and sat on it as I zipped it closed. Sounds funny, but it does get the air out of the bag. This is what we do when we travel, also. Then I sealed the bag all around like it was advised, and it fit easily in a smaller padded envelope.
