Pretty Square

I pulled out a book at our local library on knitting stitches and found quite an array of designs that would fit into the 8x8 square ... this one is my favorite... so far... "Chequerboard . multiple of 8 + 4 -- seeing I've been using merino wool 4 using 10 needles and 36 stitches it fits into my scheme of things... pattern.. row 1 k4 *p4 k4* to end; row 2 P4 *k4 p4* to end; row 3 repeat row 1;row 4 repeat row 2; row 5 repeat row 2; row 6 repeat row 1; row 7 repeat row 5; row 8 repeat row 6... that's it.. happy knitting....
