International Parcel - Air
by: Yvonne

If you are mailing fron the US, you can send a small packet weighing up to 4 (yes,4!!) pounds to South Africa for $4.40. It goes airmail. The total length, width and height of the packet must be less than 36".

I am a retired postal worker and mailed some squares yesterday and asked my friends about the former "small packet" rate. It is now called Air Parcel or something to that effect but the requirements are the same and listed above. Much cheaper than sending each square individually.

Don't forget, however, postage goes up in May so this rate will also.

It might be helpful if we know were you are shipping from.

postage response
by: Anonymous

You might be able to send more than two squares at the same cost. I mailed a 9 x 12 envelope containing five squares in a plastic bag, postage was under $3.
