The children thank you.

Heloise Sequeira's and knit-a-square

A little girl receives a warm pullover

The go-gos (grand-mothers) of Moletsane, Soweto, make, bless and hand out the blankets to the abandoned children and orphans of their parish.

Listen to the rhythms of Africa in the voices of the women and children, of the Methodist Parish, Soweto as they sing their thanks and gratitude for receiving their blankets - May 2009.

AN INTERVIEW WITH RONDA LOWRIE

Ronda Lowrie is the South African co-founder of knit-a-square. She co-ordinates the volunteers, the collection, sorting, bundling and distribution of the sewn blankets. Recently she was interviewed by Roger McDonald about the work she does for knit-a-square. To listen, you will need to click on the link below, scroll to the bottom of the page and on the LHS is a music box with 3 files. Listen to number 1 first which is at the bottom of the list.
