I am so glad someone told me about this project...I don't seem to be able to stop crocheting squares. I'm an artist who does outdoor art festivals around America. Even at a busy show, I have time to crochet 4 or 5 squares...but the best part is, because I am crocheting in my booth - women ask me what I'm doing. I explain the project and if they knit or crochet - I keep several copies of your home page with me to hand out to get them going. Thanks so much for your good work. jan byron

Thanks Jan, it is really wonderful to hear about others excitement about knit-a-square. Hope you will join our forum as well. We run many fabulous knit and crochet challenges in there. At the moment we are filling buses! Each bus has 35 children, 35 blankets made of 35 squares. (1,225 squares per bus). We are on bus number 5! thank you also for spreading the word for us and the children.
